UK Visa from Australia - Sydney

If you’re an Australian or New Zealand citizen aged 17 years and older, you can apply for a UK Ancestry Visa as long as you have a grandparent that was born in the UK (including Southern Ireland prior to 31 March 1922).

To apply UK Ancestral Visas, you will need to provide original birth certificates for yourself and your parent and grandparent with the UK ancestry. As per most visas, you will also need to demonstrate your intention to work in the UK and give evidence of your maintenance funds to show you can support yourself on arrival in the UK. This is a multiple entry visa that is granted for 5 years and allows you to work and live in the UK throughout this period.
